Authorised B&D Dealer · Central Victoria
A roller door that locks itself shut every time it closes. B&D calls it Australia’s most secure roller door*, and Safe & Secure Garage Doors supplies and installs it across regional Victoria.

Maximum security
Most of us deadlock the front door and lock the windows, then leave the widest opening in the house held down by nothing more than the opener. In a lot of homes around Bendigo, Ballarat and the towns in between, the garage also leads straight inside and holds the car, tools, bikes and gear worth taking.
Roll-A-Door Secure closes that gap. It is built as one complete four-part system that locks itself every time the door comes down, designed to help resist forced entry, tampering and impact^.
Roll-A-Door, reinvented
B&D invented the Roll-A-Door here in Australia in 1956. Seventy years on, Roll-A-Door Secure is the biggest change to it since: not a door that simply closes, but a door that locks shut every time.
Safe & Secure Garage Doors has been fitting B&D doors across Central Victoria for over 30 years, and Roll-A-Door Secure is the roller door we recommend when security is the priority.
B&D states Roll-A-Door Secure is the only roller door it tested that complies with the locking section of the Australian garage door standard*. Each of the four parts below does its own job, and together they lock the door into its frame.
A lock on each side of the door** engages by itself every time the door closes. You hear it lock and an indicator light confirms it, so there is no separate step to remember. Sealed to IP66 against dust and driving rain.
Heavy-duty aluminium guides run down both sides of the opening and hold the curtain in the frame, so it is much harder to lever or pull the door out of its tracks.
A heavy-duty anodised aluminium rail in a ribbed gunmetal-grey finish. It locks into the AUTO LOCKs to resist the door being lifted from below, and it shows anyone looking that this is not an ordinary roller door.
A B&D specified opener*** drives the AUTO LOCKs, so the whole system works as one. It has B&D’s Automatic BackDrive and safety-reverse technology, plus Tri-Tran+ encryption to stop remote codes being copied.
Most roller doors just close. When Roll-A-Door Secure comes down, the bottom rail is caught and held by an AUTO LOCK on each side, and the lights tell you it is done. Leaving for work or heading off for the weekend, the door is locked without you doing anything extra.
The opener does more than lift the door. It runs the locking system, so Roll-A-Door Secure needs a B&D specified opener such as PowerDrive. We confirm the right opener for your garage at the free measure and quote.
Side by side
From the street they can look alike. The difference is what happens once the door is down.
| Standard roller door | Roll-A-Door Secure™ | |
|---|---|---|
| Locking | Usually relies on the opener, or a manual lock you have to remember, to hold the door down | Dual AUTO LOCK™ on both sides engages automatically every time it closes |
| Side guides | Standard guides that steer the curtain up and down | Heavy-duty aluminium Security Guides that resist the curtain being forced out |
| Bottom rail | Mainly there for structure and to seal at the floor | Reinforced anodised aluminium rail that locks in place and resists upward force |
| Opener | Opens and closes the door | Also drives the locks, with Tri-Tran+ encryption against code theft |
| Design | Door, guides and opener often chosen separately | Four parts designed and tested to work as one system |
| Tested against the standard | Varies from door to door | The only roller door B&D tested that complies with the locking section of AS/NZS 4505* |
| Warranty | Standard door warranty | Up to 10 years under B&D’s Total Confidence Warranty (conditions apply) |

Warranty
Every part of the system, from the locks, guides and bottom rail to the springs, curtain and opener, is covered by B&D’s Total Confidence Warranty for up to 10 years or 30,000 open-and-close cycles (whichever comes first) on a home.
To keep the full cover, the system needs to be installed by a B&D representative, registered with B&D after purchase, and serviced within 12 months of installation and every 2 years after that. Otherwise B&D’s standard warranty applies.

* B&D tested the premium roller doors from Gliderol, Steel Line, Eco, Centurion and Taurean. Roll-A-Door Secure™ was the only roller door tested that complies with section 6.3 (locking devices) of AS/NZS 4505-2012, and B&D states it exceeded the testing criteria.
^ Classified RC2 under EN 1627 and EN 1630, and Section 3 (dynamic impact testing) and Section 4 (jemmy testing) of AS 5039.

Got a question?
No. Roll-A-Door Secure is one integrated system, and its security depends on the locks, guides, bottom rail and opener all working together. The parts can’t be added to an existing door, so it is installed as a complete new system. We measure up and quote the full replacement for you.
In most cases, yes. The opener runs the Dual AUTO LOCK™, so the system has to be paired with a B&D specified opener such as PowerDrive. We confirm the right opener for your garage at the free measure and quote.
Yes. An AUTO LOCK on each side engages whenever the door closes, and you get a locking sound and indicator lights to confirm it.
It depends on your garage, including the door size and whether an old door needs to come out first. We give you a clear time frame at the free measure and quote, so you know exactly what to expect on the day.
Yes. The Deluxe profile comes in single and double sizes, and the Neo profile is available for single doors. A few COLORBOND colours are single-only or double-only, which we can run through with you.
Break-ins aren’t only a city problem, and regional garages often hold more than a car: tools, bikes, camping and fishing gear, sometimes work equipment. Many also open straight into the house. If you are replacing an old roller door anyway, Roll-A-Door Secure builds the security in from day one instead of adding locks later.
B&D’s Total Confidence Warranty covers the whole system for up to 10 years or 30,000 cycles on a home, provided it is installed by a B&D representative, registered, and serviced as B&D requires. See the warranty section above for details.
